In an exciting development for top-end talent and representative football, AFL Sydney and AFL NSW/ACT have announced details for the 2024 Male and Female Under 22 Summer Series.

March 2024 will see the clash of the best Under 22 players from AFL Sydney, AFL Canberra, Joss GIANTS Academy, and QBE Sydney Swans Academy in games over 3 weekends.

Coaching Appointments:

Two of our very own Pennant Hills Demons have been appointed to coaching roles with this program.

Male Under 22’s Program:

• Head Coach: Ben Roberts (2023 AFL Sydney Premier Division Coach of the Year)

Female Under 22’s Program:

• Assistant Coach: Eleanor Rugg (Swans Academy Coach)

Player Invitations:

Premier Division Clubs have nominated players, and additional invites have been extended to outstanding talents. Nominated players have received emails, and the final squad will be revealed in late January.

To qualify for final selection, Pennant Hills players must be registered with the club (or on permit from an AFL Sydney Juniors Club if age-eligible for Junior football) by March 1 2024.

Training Program and Matchdays:

Training will start in February with 5 sessions scheduled before games over 3 weekends in March.

• Matchday 1: March 2 @ Blacktown International Sports Park, Sydney
• Matchday 2: March 9 @ Canberra Venue (TBC)
• Matchday 3: March 16 & 17 @ Blacktown International Sports Park, Sydney
