This weekend Tim Acheson plays his 100th open-age game for the Demons.
Season 2022 is Tim’s 9th season of footy with the Pennant Hills senior club. This year he turned 28.
Tim’s whole footy career with the Demons spans more than two decades after starting out with Auskick at the Pennant Hills Juniors in year 2000. He played 137 games at the junior club and was a member of the Under 14 premiership side in 2008.
Tim has been a backman all of his career and has played mainly in the third and fourth grade sides. He is a reliable defender and plays his best footy at the fringes of the pack. He’s also excellent as the ‘go-to’ when Penno is kicking in from the goal square.
Tim’s time at the senior club started in 2011 when he played a season with the Under 18s after graduating from the junior club. He then stopped playing for a few years before getting his passion for footy back in 2015. In 2016, by a quirk of serendipity, he played in the victorious 2016 Division 5 premiership side and won another flag in 2018 with the Division One (3rd grade) side.
He was the Division 3’s Most Improved player in 2016.
Tim is a respected member of the footy club and always puts the team first. He is a quiet achiever and loyal to his teammates. He’s always willing to help out and do his bit when things need to be done.
We wish Tim all the best in his 100th game.
Go Penno!
