Congratulations to the two Pennant Hills Women’s teams who played in the Newtown Breakaways AFL Club Women’s AFLX Pre-Season Challenge, both of who went through to win their pools undefeated!

The AFLX competition was developed as a competitive pre-season trial match event, with the Pennant Hills teams playing several games throughout the day ending in semi-finals and grand finals. The Pennant Hills Pool 1 were victorious against UTS in the Grand Final, with the Pool 2 team defeating the Bathurst Bushrangers.

To cap off such a great day, Laura Donohoe and Tamika Sutton were named the ‘Most Valuable Player’ of their respective Grand Final games.
