To end a superb first season with the GWS Giants, James Peatling was awarded the 2021 Development Award in the club’s Awards Night for 2021.

Upon receiving his award the Giants had this to say about JP, “Making the most of opportunities he waited so long to get! What a remarkable twelve month journey it’s been for this man! We can’t wait to see what James Peatling is capable of in 2022.”

Since his debut earlier this year, Peatling played has played in Rounds 20 (Port Adelaide), 21 (Geelong Cats), 22 (Richmond) and the Elimination Semi-Final against Geelong Cats during the 2021 season and was the Giants’ first-ever Mid-Season Draftee.
