Kieran Wright – 250 Game Milestone
Kieran Wright – 250 Game Milestone
This weekend four-time premiership player, Kieran Wright, plays his 250th open-age game for the Pennant Hills Demons.
Kieran is a true champion of the Club and his record ranks him amongst the very best to have donned the Demon’s ‘Red & Blue’ jumper. He was twice adjudged the Pennant Hills Footballer of the Year and Seniors Best & Fairest. In 2011, he won the Phelan Medal for the best player in the league, the pinnacle of achievement in the AFL Sydney competition.
After eleven seasons in First Grade, Kieran stepped back to the seconds in 2017 to make room for the next generation of up and coming players. Winning the Reserves B&F in 2017 and then his BOG performance in last season’s Reserve Grade Grand Final are testimony to his enduring talent, ability and commitment to the game and to the Club.
Off-field he has also been prolific, producing three beautiful children, all of which are still under 5 years old – Arlia (4 years), Keaton (2) and Kolby (1). Of course, none of his on-field or off-field achievements could have been realised without the loving and enduring support of his wife, another Demon legend, Lauren ‘Loz’ Wright (nee Cain), the Club’s head physio for many years.
Kieran is only the 4th Demon to reach 250 games and we congratulate him on this magnificent achievement!
